About P.U.L.S.E. in the City, Inc
P.U.L.S.E. in the City, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, with the purpose of uplifting women of color, 19 years and older, in the NYC area. We are dedicated to providing support, resources, and mentorship to help women embrace their identity, define their future, and make a positive impact in their communities. Our organization is committed to creating a safe space where women can thrive and grow, and where their voices are heard and valued. The organization services women of color through delivery of programs for professional and personal opportunities; programs include intimate meetings that encourage candid dialogue and reflection, as well as events that pertain to communal and societal issues that are specific to women of color.

Herstory
P.U.L.S.E., which is an acronym for Powerful United Ladies Striving to Elevate, was conceived at Binghamton University in 2007. Since its inception, P.U.L.S.E. has provided thousands of women of color with a safe psychological and physical space to speak freely and openly among one another. In addition to Binghamton University, P.U.L.S.E. is now housed at SUNY Albany, Buffalo State College, SUNY Buffalo, St. John's University, and as a nonprofit (P.U.L.S.E. in the City, Inc.) in New York City.

At P.U.L.S.E. In the City, Inc., our mission is to empower women of color by providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and support to achieve their full potential. We strive to create a community where every woman feels empowered, valued, and capable of making a difference.

We envision a world where women of color are recognized for their achievements and contributions, and where they have equal opportunities to thrive and succeed.
